Getting to know the custom NY24 tender range from Nerea Yacht

Nerea Yacht was only on the scene for one year before dropping their all-new metallic tender range.

The three 7.3-metre models in the NY24 range were designed for those sophisticated yachtsman seeking a small day cruiser with a big impact. Having already caught a glimpse at the new dark bronze NY24 Deluxe, SuperYacht Times finds out more about the rest of the Nerea Yacht tender range.

First seen illuminating the exhibition halls of boot Dusseldorf earlier this year, the NY24 Deluxe, GT and Limo tenders can be customised to suit the owner or mothership - thanks to the expertise of Nerea Yacht’s founder, Dario Messina, in collaboration with the Italian design studio ideaeITALIA. Designers Alessio Battistini and Davide Bernardini used their extensive stylistic research to create a range of tenders that offers all those onboard space to play with. For example, the living area in the central cockpit comes with a fine convertible dinette where, by lowering the central table, can transform into an inviting extended sunbathing area. Thanks to a careful study of the proportions, the designers devised spacious interiors for features such as a below-deck cabin with a large convertible container sofa and an enclosed toilet niche.

The exterior layout offers a stylish sundeck on the stern, which comes complete with a bimini top and outdoor cushions in a specially-selected chrome colour scheme that works in harmony with the warm colours of the teak, hull and eco-cement surface coverings. In true day cruiser style, other external features are the swim platform, three-level transom and electronic engine room hatch.

The entire walkable surfaces - from the swim platform to the front deck and cabin steps - are covered in teak, giving the tender its classic modern signature. The design process also oversaw the practical aspects, such as a V-shape hull with an 18.5-degree deadrise with lateral planning supports, increased floating surface for that fast gliding entrance and soft passage on the waves. Also contributing to her fine seaworthiness is the very low draught, which enables the NY24 to enter bays and creeks with ease under the power of her Volvo engine with duo-prop stern drive and optional eco-friendly auxiliary electric jet propulsion system. When travelling at her top speed, the NY24 is able to reach up to 39 knots or move down to a comfortable cruising speed of 30 knots.

Alongside the Deluxe version, the NY24 is available in two other variants: the GT and the Limo. Designed to be the perfect day cruiser for overnight trips, the NY24 GT is a fun and gritty motorboat that offers high performances combined with perfect manoeuvrability. Whereas the NY24 Limo is aimed at owners looking for tenders of the same stylistic level of their superyacht: a real open walkaround without a forward bridge or cabin that is perfectly suited to entering into the garage of a large motor yacht. Whatever version is preferred, NY24 is a boat devoted to exclusivity, refinement and high-end finishings.
