Azimut Yachts Reveals First Magellano 25 Metri

Italian builder Azimut Yachts has revealed first look images of the new Magellano 25 Metri.

Built in GRP and carbon fibre, the new model was designed by Ken Freivokh with “chic and sophisticated” exterior lines, while her interiors come courtesy of artist and architect Vincenzo De Cotiis.

A fully glazed superstructure was created to "convey the feeling of a penthouse overlooking the sea", the yard said, with “retro-style” windows in the hull and slatted teak panels either side of the aft deckhouse.

The bow area is well set-up for warm weather cruising with sofas, which can be converted into sunbeds, while the sundeck provides two-tiers of lounging with additional sunbeds and a bar aft and an al fresco dining area forward shaded by a retractable sunroof. Down at the water’s edge, an extending teak swim platform provides another spot for guests to kickback.

According to the yard, Vincenzo De Cotiss set out to create an interior that was “art in its own right”. Artistic fibreglass features throughout paired with brushed Verde Alpi marble, dark walnut wood and polished brass. Designed to maximise sea views from every angle, the main saloon is flooded with natural light thanks to large windows, with plush sofas to both port and starboard.

The Magellano 25 Metri can accommodate up to 10 guests across five cabins including an owner’s suite complete with a walk-in wardrobe, ribbed wall panelling and polished brass details. The remaining guest accommodation resides on the lower deck comprised of two VIPs, one double and one convertible twin cabin.

Power comes from two MAN 1,400hp engines for a top speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 21 knows, with Humpree electric fin stabilisers.
