Mangusta Launches First Gransport 33 Superyacht

Mangusta Yachts' first Gransport 33, the “entry level” model of the Gransport line, has hit the water and undertaken sea trials.

It comes after the model was first presented by the yard at the Miami Yacht Show in February 2019. The first 33.3 metre hull was started on spec and later sold to an American client for delivery later this year.

Featuring exterior and interior design by Alberto Mancini, the Gransport 33 sports “classic design, essential lines and a good balance between interior and exterior spaces,” the yard previously said.

The 228GT interior was penned by Mancini in collaboration with Overmarine Group’s interiors department and the owner. The result is “a stylish but also extremely functional yacht,” the yard said, “just what her American owner had asked for”.

Key features on the main deck include a large cockpit and dining table with an interior saloon adjacent to the galley. Forward of the main deck is the 40 square metre master cabin. The rest of the guest accommodation, comprising four cabins, is located on the lower deck.

Elsewhere, the yacht features a 56 square metre enclosed flybridge with an outdoor area equipped with a Jacuzzi and bar. At the bow, there is a pool, sunbathing area, sofa and table.

The yacht is equipped with a 28 square metre garage large enough to swallow a 5.65 metre tender and two water skis.

Four Volvo IPS engines provide a top speed of 26 knots while the yacht’s shallow draft of 1.9 metres allows her to cruise comfortably in the Bahamas.
