Tohatsu Introduces New Outboards
Tohatsu said it started to ship its new midrange MFS outboards, which are available in 75-, 90- and 115-hp models.
The Japanese company said in a statement that it developed an industry-first exhaust manifold that’s unique to the lineup and gives the engines best-in-class torque, hole shot and top speed. With passages that are the same length, the 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust eliminates interference and improves performance.

“We are excited to introduce our new lineup of 4-stroke outboards,” Tohatsu America Corp. president Isami Hyuga said in the statement. “Tohatsu has spent years designing, developing and testing these models to exceed our customer demand. Our 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust has allowed us to achieve the best 75-hp, 90-hp and 115-hp in the industry.”
The outboards are available in aqua marine blue or beluga white, several shaft lengths, tiller or remote options, and carry a five-year limited warranty.
