Tecnomar presents new charter-ready Domus concept

Tecnomar, The Italian Sea Group’s flagship brand known for its high-performance superyachts, has released a new charter-focused concept.

The 36-metre Tecnomar Domus embodies a ‘villa by the sea’ philosophy with an emphasis on open areas that are multifunctional in their use.

Developed in-house by The Italian Sea Group, the project’s high volume (280 GT) and aluminium construction makes for a spacious and adaptable platform through which clients can customise their preferred layout. A particular focal point of the design is the 36 square metre beach club at the stern with its large side windows that provide privacy and protection from the wind while still creating an open and connected experience with the sea and adjacent social areas.

A 60 square metre sundeck is divided into an indoor and outdoor area, making this one of the most popular hangouts on board. The covered deck house is designed to incorporate a bar, lounge and even a DJ booth with side windows that can slide down to create an alfresco environment. The wheelhouse is also located on this level for maximum visibility all around the yacht. The aft part can be cleared of all loose furniture in order to host larger groups.

Inside, a fluid design easily guides traffic flow across the two internal decks with its contemporary design. Space is the luxury keyword here and guests will appreciate the impressive ceiling height and true floor-to-ceiling windows. The concept design features a touch of oriental influences combined with a proudly Made-in-Italy outfitting. Different shades and types of wood are complemented by the use of Calacatta golden marble for a tasteful and harmonious palette.

The open-plan main deck features a panoramic country-style galley and observation lounge forward which leads through to the main saloon with an offset dining table and adjacent lounge.

A five-cabin layout on the lower deck houses all the guest accommodation on board for up to 10 guests.

The platform is designed to benefit from Volvo Penta’s IPS drive system and includes four Volvo 1350 kW engines for a top speed of 21 knots and a range of 1,000 nm at 10 knots.
