Italian yard Rossinavi has launched Polaris, the 70 metre superyacht previously known as Project King Shark.

The yacht, which is the largest yacht built by the yard, hit the water at its Viareggio-based facility after four years in construction.

Polaris features an exploration-inspired design but remains focused on the yachting lifestyle. As such, she is just as comfortable navigating extreme ice conditions as she is cruising the warm waters of the Caribbean. Key exterior features include a dedicated owner’s deck with a private terrace and waterfall and a six metre infinity pool aft of the main deck.

The yacht also features a wellness centre, with a gym, sauna, hammam and massage room, soundproof indoor cinema and indoor waterfall in the main saloon.

Polaris also features ample storage space for six jet skis and two tenders, including a 10 metre custom limousine tender built by Rossinavi. Accommodation is for 12 guests split across six cabins along with a crew capacity of 17.

Exterior design comes courtesy of Enrico Gobbi’s Team for Design. The “contemporary” 1,542GT interior is also designed by Team for Design in collaboration with Carlo Lionetti.

Featuring bespoke touches inspired by the owner, the interior features “refined details, prestigious textiles and loose furniture”. The result is a “luxurious and distinctive” interior.

Speaking about the design, Gobbi said: “The neat and elegant shapes of the yacht are underlined by long, continuous black window surfaces with curved details that soften up and characterise the overall cleanness of the superstructure.”

Rossinavi chief operating officer Federico Rossi added: “After four years under construction, we are extremely proud to present this grand superyacht.

“Polaris is the masterpiece where lines and elegance boasts the harmony typical of a modern yacht.”
