BRP Launches Multiple New Products

BRP Inc. this week launched multiple products, including two Rotax outboards, new Manitou and Alumacraft boats and an electric hydrofoil board called Sea-Doo Rise.

According to a statement, the Rotax outboard engines will be offered in 115- and 150-hp configurations and are partially submerged and hidden under the Manitou and Alumacraft boats they will ship with. The company says the engines are 20 percent more fuel efficient than traditional outboards and produce 12 percent less reportable emissions, including a 98 percent reduction in carbon monoxide at idle.

BRP’s Manitou brand announced two new pontoon boats alongside the Rotax outboards. The Manitou Cruise will be available in lengths of 20, 22 and 24 feet. The Manitou Explore includes 20-, 24- and 26-foot models.

“Today, we rise above and introduce two new boat models that will shake the industry with forward-thinking design,” Manitou global product manager Garrett Koschak said in a statement. “The new Manitou models are fully optimized and seamlessly integrated, so the boat and engine deliver the perfect day on the water. Beyond the progressive and disruptive design cues that we believe will raise Manitou to icon status, we are revealing a boatload of innovations that make the onboard experience a game-changer in the industry.”

The company’s Alumacraft division unveiled new fishboat models for 2023, which will also ship with Rotax outboard engines. The Alumacraft Competitor and Trophy models feature a continuous curved gunnel and a unique side profile, transom and deck design, the company said.

“Alumacraft has proven to be the preferred choice of aluminum fishing boats in the angling world thanks to a line of boats that provides memories of getting out on the water in search of fish and fun, and our dedication to performance and quality,” Alumacraft global product manager Garrett Koschak said in a statement. “Today, we are unveiling daringly innovative Competitor and Trophy models that will change the name of the game for anglers in the market for a boat.”

The company also announced the 2024 availability of Sea-Doo Rise, an electric hydrofoil board it hopes will change the watersports segment.

"With the Sea-Doo Rise, BRP is leveraging its expertise to address an untapped market category and further position the company for future growth,” BRP president and CEO José Boisjoli said in a statement. “We have set out to be the key actor in growing and democratizing the hydrofoiling watersport industry. In true BRP fashion, we designed a product that is easy to use and adaptable for all skill levels, making it accessible for all those seeking to rise above the water."

Full specifications for Sea-Doo Rise will be available in August 2023.
