Poland's largest superyacht christened Ace
Polish shipyard Conrad has christened its 44.27 metre flagship superyacht Ace during a private ceremony in Gdańsk, Poland. The yacht now holds the title for the largest superyacht to be built in Poland.
Commissioned by a Swiss owner who was introduced by the Luxury Charter Group, the yacht began construction at the yard’s facilities in summer 2020. She is the first in Conrad's C144S line and surpasses the shipyard's previous flagship Viatoris by 4.5 metres in length.
The christening ceremony was attended by the owner, shipyard representatives, the design team and journalists, as well as the CEO of Conrad, Mikołaj Król. Król described the yacht as "the pioneer of a new and groundbreaking line of luxury superyachts of this length".
Ace features an exterior profile by British studio Reymond Langton in collaboration with Dutch-based Diana Yacht Design and the yard’s in-house team. Her interior, which is yet to be revealed, is the work of Milan-based firm M2 Atelier.
She is characterised by a straight bow with large windows and 494GT of interior volume granted by an 8.9 metre beam. “This project is a combination of a stylish design with incredible harmony, but also the intriguing silhouette of a modern superyacht,” the shipyard said.
Accommodation is for up to 10 guests in five cabins, including the master suite and cabins for nine crew members. Highlights include four lounge zones, a cinema, two bars, two dining spaces and an infinity pool on the sun deck.
She has been built in steel and aluminium and is equipped with twin CAT engines delivering a top speed of 13 knots and a range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles when travelling at 10 knots. Construction is already underway on the second hull with delivery scheduled for 2023, while the third hull is currently listed for sale with Denison Yachting.
Yacht consulting and project management firm Nicola Nicolai acted as the owner’s pre-purchase advisor and oversaw the build as the owner’s representative and project manager.
