Black Pepper Yachts releases designs for new full-carbon catamaran

Black Pepper Yachts has released the first look at the French shipyard’s new Code C.69, a 21-metre (68-foot) full-carbon catamaran signed by Francois Perus & Romain Scolari.

The Code C.69 is the shipyard’s first catamaran, featuring modern lines and materials, and is inspired by the latest oceanic multihull racer design, intended for off-shore travel and racing.

Whilst the yacht’s LOA falls short of what is typically considered to be a ‘superyacht’, the ample accommodation on board is exactly what you would expect from a vessel of that size. The interior showcases grand living spaces, luxurious equipment, and a cockpit lounge. The Code C.69 is designed to ensure comfort, safety, and autonomy to owners and their guests. It features a master cabin and two guest cabins, with cabin space for two crew members.

Black Pepper Yachts aimed to create a luxurious and comfortable living space on the water while ensuring a maximum performance level and safety for high-speed cruising. The use of high-tech composite, identical to those used for racing prototypes, has made it possible while considerably reducing the weight of the boat, which, combined with wide and long hulls, allows high speeds and impressive accelerations.

A spokesperson for Black Pepper Yachts commented, “For some time now, we had included in our development strategy the launch of a large, luxurious, high-tech and high-performance sailing catamaran. The Code C.69 ticks all the boxes of these specifications, including a successful design in line with the codes of Black Pepper Yachts.”
