Interior of Amels 60 superyacht Entourage unveiled for the first time
Damen Yachting has unveiled the first interior images of the 60-metre Amels superyacht Entourage. Delivered in February 2023, Entourage is the second yacht in the Amels 60 Limited Editions series and she features a custom interior design.
Previously known as Project Witchcraft, Entourage was built for an experienced owner who enlisted the team at Canada-based design studio Burdifilek for her unique interior design. Her calm and comfortable interior is encased by an exterior design from Espen Øino International with naval architecture from her Damen Yachting.
“The owner knew exactly how he wanted to entertain and how he wanted the flow through the spaces to be. When the sun sets, the yacht transforms, shifting from day to night, evoking a completely different feeling,” said Diego Burdi, Burdifilek’s co-founder.
Entourage showcases an interior colour palette of creams, greys, and off-whites, with the key design feature in her main saloon being her plush curved sofa and crushed velvet armchairs. The curvature continues in the form of sculptural standing lamps which help to perfectly add ambiance and interest to the space.
“This unique opportunity led us on a journey of exploration where every design aspect of the yacht was considered at the highest level,” explained Diego Burdi. “Conceived as a floating oasis of luxury, the interiors are a playground of timeless elegance, ultimate comfort with a sense of peace conveyed through a monochromatic palette.”
Entourage features a six stateroom configuration for up to 12 guests, with her extra-large owner’s suite located on the main deck. The suite includes a king-size bed, as well as a lounge area, fold down balconies, two bathrooms and a neighbouring twin guest stateroom.
The remaining guest staterooms of Entourage can be found on her lower deck, alongside accommodation for a professional crew of 13. An eye-catching feature onboard Entourage is her reversed staircase structure.
“I think the staircase is beautiful and very innovative,” commented Arie Midavaine, Project Manager at Damen Yachting. “The structure is on the outside and tucked away – which is substantially different from previous models and gives much more space to move around.”
The owner of Entourage worked closely with Amels and build supervisors at Moran Yacht & Ship to customise the project to meet his needs. “At the request of the owner, we extended the bridge and sun deck aft, which has impacted the use of these decks in such a positive way that we decided to implement this change for all future builds,” explained Jan van Hogerwou, Damen Yachting’s Commercial Executive North America.
Her large sun deck was lengthened by 1.5-metres at the aft and features a Jacuzzi pool surrounded by sunpads. The deck is also home to a large bar, alfresco dining area and shaded L-shaped lounge area. Her sun awning poles have also been repositioned to outside her railings to maximise the space available onboard.
“It’s an extremely well-optimised design. Together with the Amels team we invested a lot of time fine-tuning the Amels 60 design, really looking back at the Limited Editions past, talking to clients. She looks beautiful,” explained Espen Øino of Espen Øino International.
The foredeck of Entourage has space for two tenders and two waverunners, alongside additional toys such as Seabobs, wakeboards and diving equipment in the beach club aft. Her beach club is also equipped with a sauna, dayhead and gym equipment.
“We are very proud of the many customisations we were able to implement into this platform, which is a testament to the Damen Yachting engineering and production team,” said Sean Moran, Managing Director at Moran Yacht & Ship.
Entourage features IMO Tier III compliant hybrid power and propulsion technology. She is powered by twin MTU engines which give her a top speed of 15.5 knots, a cruising speed of 13 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles.
