Afternoon sessions of day 1 at the Asia Pacific Yachting Conference

The afternoon sessions of the first day of the Asia Pacific Yachting Conference (APYC) started with a panel from SuperYacht Times’ Merijn de Waard as well as Jan Jaap Minnema from Fraser Yachts, who lead a panel discussion on perceptions, realities and challenges for Asia manufacturers, as well as a closer look at their experiences with Asian clients.

The Marina Project and Arrol Ltd lead another panel discussion focusing on projected growth profiles until 2025 and how this affects investments decisions by developers and service providers.

Annie Song from the Fortune Times was joined by representatives of the Heysea Yacht Group and SEA2SEA International Pte, asking and responding to questions like as yacht manufacturing develops in China, what impact will it have on the regional and global markets, competition or opportunity for cooperation, and will the China brand achieve recognition in the global yacht industry?

The day was rounded off with comments from Martin Redmayne, and will kick off again first thing tomorrow morning.

The Singapore Yacht Show will take place from 23-26 April 2015 at ONE°15 Marina Club.
