O'Callaghan, Francis and Hoekstra speaking at SYDW 2014!

With just under three months to go before the second annual SuperyachtDESIGN Week opens its doors in Chelsea Harbour, the buzz is mounting for another promising three days in London.

The programme continues to evolve and will see many experts from both inside and outside of the superyacht industry come to the fore and share their visions on innovation for the future. The first seven to confirm their attendance come from a wide and varied background as will the roles they play. James O'Callaghan, director and co-founder of Eckersley O'Callaghan, and leading glass expert, will present during a breakout workshop the ways in which he is pushing the boundaries with glass, as most recently seen in his collaboration on M/Y A. John Leonida, of silver sponsor, Clyde & Co., will join us again for a very interesting legal Q & A session regarding the emerging issues surrounding 3D designs. Associate Director at Arup, Jan Wurm, will deliver an interesting presentation on the many alternative types of materials available at the moment and some exciting developments with potential cross over into the superyacht industry.

Day two will see Tanno Weeda, senior designer at Feadship join the discussion in relation to the cost of crew in design as more and more designers come to terms with increased legislation constraints. Martin Francis, legendary designer will sit in a Q & A breakout session with other designers offering their advice and answering your questions on their experience in the industry. And Marnix Hoekstra will host a VriThink! inspired session on how to open your eyes to the trends surrounding you.

Day three will see a complimentary session to the Q & A with the legends, when the newcomers have their time to shine and share their experiences with branching out on their own and building a name for themselves. While in an afternoon breakout session, we will examine the smaller semi-custom end of the market in a panel discussion including Erwin Bamps, COO of Gulf Craft.

This is just the beginning of a long list of speakers, presenters, brainstormers, next gen thinkers and panellists that will be a part of this year's SuperyachtDESIGN Week. Spaces still remain to attend this year's SuperyachtDESIGN Week being held at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour from 24-26 June in London.
