Riva's largest planing yacht finally hits the water at FLIBS 2014

At nearly 38 meters in length, the Riva 122’ Mythos is the largest planing yacht ever built by the historical Italian shipyard. The long-awaited model has been building buzz for the past year and made its official debut at last week’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2014. This elegant yacht has been entirely built in light aluminum alloy, weighing in at 35 tons.

The 122′ Mythos design stems from pure instinct, a quality that guarantees its success. The dynamic and sleek profile is highlighted by the Regal Silver color, a brand new light gray hue. It’s sleek and sophisticated, just like its interior designed by CRN. The standard version offers 3 or 4 cabins, and an additional optional layout with 5 cabins is also available. The brightness makes the room more spacious and wooden materials add some purity to the rooms.

The sun deck was designed to offer the owner and his guests the utmost comfort, featuring a Jacuzzi swimming pool surrounded by wide sun-bathing sofas, with a dinette area and foldable table. The Mythos also showcases a second retractable helm station. Thanks to its twin MTU 12V 4000 M 93L 3510 MHP engines, the Riva Mythos has a maximum speed of 28.5 knots with a cruising speed of 26 knots.

There’s a large uninterrupted glazing running along the entire main deck. It offers a breathtaking panoramic view and lets in plenty of light into the day area, connected to the raised pilot station and to the forward galley. Even if the super-yacht is extraordinary, Riva’s team hasn’t forget that the greatest view is indubitably the ocean and the horizon.
