BENETTI VELOCE 140 TO DEBUT AT FLIBS

The first addition to the Benetti Fast Displacement series

Benetti has announced the very first hull in its Fast Displacement line. The Veloce 140′ is a semi-custom yacht with a Displacement to Planing (D2P) hull designed by Pierluigi Ausonio Naval Architecture Studio and the Azimut|Benetti Research and Development Center. With its D2P hull design and its two MTU 12V 4000 M93L 3500 mhp engines (which are incidentally the largest ever mounted by the shipyard), the Veloce 140′ can easily reach speeds of over 20 knots without perturbing passenger comfort.

Beyond its streamlined hull and powerful engine, the yacht is also exceptionally luxury. Stefano Righini is responsible for the exterior design, while the interior design is the work of RWD-Redman Whiteley Dixon. Decor, both interior and exterior, was left in the hands of architect Joao Armentano, Light gray wood was used for the interior finishing and slate gray wood was used for the floor. The interior furnishings are by Minotti, the lamps by Flos and the taps and fittings by Gessi.

The yacht boasts a 77 meter sun deck on the upper tier that overlooks the swimming pool and whirlpool. All of the furniture is detached and can be displaced and rearranged at will. As for accommodations, the layout includes five cabins for the yacht owner and guests as well as four crew cabins for up to eight crew members. The first Veloce 140′ will debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show that will take place from October 30th to November 3rd, 2014.
