MESMERIZING MAP OF THE WORLD’S WIND PATTERNS

Well, the title pretty much sums it up. Created by Cameron Beccario, a software engineer based in Tokyo, the map shows wind patterns across the globe.

Taking windspeed data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association and the National Weather Service, he created an animation that changes depending on the altitude and speed of the winds.

We highly recommend that you take a look, but you might want to clear your calendar. It tends to suck you in.
