A luxury eco-resort concept by Richard Moreta Castillo
Designed by Richard Moreta Castillo, Grand Cancun is a luxury resort concept for eco-tourism but is also a response to our current global climate crisis. Indeed, Grand Cancun is not simply intended for tourism. The giant marine platform’s main purpose is to help clean up our oceans. How? By using a method to separate water from hydrocarbons and floating solids. Entirely self-sufficient, the resort would also collect tidal and wave energy. In using a platform concept instead of an artificial island, the resort would maximize space while minimizing impact on the marine environment.
