Landau looks ahead

Landau UK is looking to build on growing commercial contracts for the new Rotinor dive propulsion scooter presented at this year’s Seawork International, for which it is sole UK dealer.

Capable of carrying up to four combat divers, reaching depths of up to 60m, the new Rotinor scooter operates in near silence and includes forward facing sonar, state-of-the-art navigation technology and is powered by high energy li-Ion accumulators.

Landau told Maritime Journal this year’s Seawork saw significant interest and has already seen a number of meetings take place with marine police, harbours, coastguards, fish farms and offshore platform including oil, gas and windfarms.

“Seawork International gave us an ideal opportunity to meet a number of new potential clients, allowing them the chance to learn more about the Rotinor product, as well as other Landau UK products and services. We aim to ensure marine operations run as effectively as possible, delivering many commercial benefits,” said Mark Salter, commercial manager, Landau UK.

Before Seawork, the company had already secured a number of commercial contracts with the Ministry of Defence and for global oil tank survey work.

As well as professional diving scooters, Germany-based Rotinor designs and builds high performance electric jet motors for all watercraft.
