Product of the week: SeaScape Bathing Platform

Launched last year from the Dutch brand Hydromar Marine Equipment, the hydraulic bathing platform SeaScape is the company’s means to supply the increasing demand seen from larger yachts for an extensive moving bathing platform.

Designed for both motor and sailing yachts ranging from 30 to 100+ metre, the SeaScape is based on the ethos at the core of the company: tailor made equipment based on standard Hydromar solutions. The unique product is set to make life on board as seamless and hassle-free as possible for guests and Owner by effectively creating a large stairway that leads from the back of the superyacht directly into the ocean.

It comes in a standard size; 1.9 x 3.0 metres with a maximum of 6 steps, a maximum static load of 1000 kg and approximate weight of 1,550 kg. Within each size, The platform size and number of steps can be tailor made to suit the individual Owner's needs.Black anodized aluminium, polished stainless steel, teak and aluminium stair booms finished in superyacht quality paint ensures the Seascape looks like an extension of the vessel.

With its unique crankshaft mechanism the stability of steps and platform are optimal, and is driven by rotary actuators. A complete working system as well as the power pack is included with the product, and all the SeaScape’s are tailor made to the ship’s construction. The actual construction of the platform is also included in the standard delivery, though excludes teak.

The SeaScape was officially revealed at the Monaco Yacht Show in September last year, and Hydromar will be back again in Monaco this week with a prototype model on display at their booth QAB2 in the Holland House Pavilion.
