New maritime civil engineer for Braemar SA

UK consultancy Braemar SA (Incorporating The Salvage Association) has announced the appointment of Brian Armour as the new senior maritime civil engineer within its ports and harbours division.

Mr Armour has experience in the design, analysis and construction of jetties and port structures in Australia and Asia, he will be based in Singapore.

He will focus on providing advice on dock damage cases and on berth safety disputes and will assist in the further development of Braemar SA’s ports and harbours consultancy services.

“Brian’s appointment is part of a global expansion strategy within Braemar SA that will enable us to enhance the services we offer to the local Asian market,” said Tim Lewis, director of Braemar SA’s ports and harbours department.

He added: “Brian is a great addition to our team and his appointment has already been met with much enthusiasm by our clients.”

The company argues that its ports and harbours business line is further evidence of Braemar SA’s commitment to growing its marine consultancy capability.

Braemar SA is an international marine surveying and technical consultancy, it has a network of offices across the globe and operates with customers worldwide.
