NEW Seajet Eco range

Protect your boat from fouling while being kind to marine life.

The Seajet Eco range is a new product range with eco-responsible products for your boat. All products in this range contain no heavy metals, no biocides and are free from future biocide legislation. You can now protect your boat from fouling while being kind to marine life.

The range consists of three types of products:

Foul release coatings (silicone based): Seajet Bioclean Eco system for the hull

Biocide-free self-polishing underwater coating: Seajet 021 Eko

Hard composite coating: Seajet 2300 Hard Coating

The range is designed for DIY application. Considered is the ease of application; mostly single component products, easy paint systems, shorter overcoating times and long pot life. The Bioclean system can easily be applied over old systems. There is no special equipment or experience necessary.

Foul release coatings

Unlike antifouling, which use biocides in the paint to keep fouling off the hull, Seajet Pellerclean and Seajet Bioclean Eco system use silicone to provide an ultra slippy surface, that fouling finds it difficult to adhere to.

We call these foul release coatings. Fouling detaches during the use of the boat. For inactive boats and those cruising below 5 knots, a quick wash or sponge off will remove any fouling and make the coating look like new.

Bioclean Eco system

The Seajet Bioclean Eco system is based on our unique silicone elastomer technology and provides a smooth and non-sticky surface. Fouling organisms cannot firmly adhere to the surface and can be easily removed. It self-cleans by movement of seawater across the hull. For inactive boats and those cruising below 5 knots, a quick wash or sponge off will remove any fouling and make the coating look like new.

The system is based upon a single component Tie Coat followed by a single component Clear Coat system for a simple application process. Unlike other silicon coatings, there’s no need to strip back a previously antifouled hull to bare gelcoat. As long as the existing coating is free from flaking, and in generally good condition, all you need is to apply is two coats of Tie Coat, followed by two coats of Seajet Bioclean Eco for antifoul protection. The overcoating times between coats are significantly reduced and there are no time restrictions on pot life.

Seajet Bioclean Eco has a low frictional resistance through the water. Seajet Bioclean Eco can last up to several seasons. The higher initial cost of paint is soon paid back compared to a traditional antifouling, which is repainted every year.

Seajet 021 Eko

For customers who feel they are more comfortable applying an erodable solution, can now do so with Seajet 021 Eko. A high-quality biocide-free, self-polishing underwater coating. The formulation is based on crosslinking zinc acrylate technology, with a hydrolysis based erodible layer that renews itself all the time making it difficult for fouling to attach.

Seajet 021 Eko is a universal product, suitable for all types of boats with speeds up to 30 knots. This is a one season product with no layer build up due to the high-quality polishing effect. Regular cleaning is advised.

Seajet 2300 Hard Coating

Seajet 2300 Hard Coating is a unique hard coating solution for all types of craft. The durable and cleanable nature of the coating means it will be perfect for anyone using a dry-stack storage system for their boat, or an underwater cleaning system, where the hull is physically cleaned on a fairly regular basis.

This high solid, PU coating has two additives; one to protect against UV and one to increase surface tension characteristics. Seajet 2300 Hard Coating has high volume solids (90%). Intended more for use in low to moderate fouling areas, the product has a typical service life of two years.
