While docked at a port, ships require power to maintain their primary utilities like ventilation, heating, cooling and the control systems. Shore power provides electrical power from the shore to a ship while it is docked, thereby diesel generators can be switched off. This improves air quality in the port and the surrounding residential areas. Seijsener developed a smart system for Shore Power. Our smart system makes it possible to activate electricity as well tap water and port fees.
