Wave slamming puts strain on the musculoskeletal structures in your body, such as your neck, back, hips, knees and ankles. This can result in an uncomfortable and unsafe ride. When a wave is impacted, one of the areas the shock is transmitted to is your spine, where damage to discs, vertebrae, and soft tissue can occur. Damage to these structures is the leading cause of back pain.

Shark suspension uses proprietary FlexaniteR composite, NOT rigid metal. This provides the best comfort and safety throughout the body’s natural range of motion. Shark leaf springs are tested to 1,000,000 full impacts (decades of use).

Forces on your body from wave impacts not only occur vertically, but also in lateral and longitudinal directions. This can be felt when a wave is impacted at an angle and you feel forced to one side, or when the bow buries in a wave and you feel a force forward.
