A special guest in Avigliana
After 10000 km from Mongolia by bike Jürg Burger came to visit un in Avigliana
A special guest came to visit us on Friday, May 6th here in Avigliana: Jürg Burger, on his way home after more than 10000km by bike, a journey started on October 6th, 2015 from Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia.
Throughout this long adventure that has Lucerne as its destination, Jürg not only had the chance to explore new territories and get in touch with different cultures, but he has also raised funds for the Bayasgalant Children Day Care Center.
A personal experience to share with friends, family and everyone following his online journal but first and foremost, a means to help children of Bayasgalaant have a better childhood and a brighter future.
As a loyal travel companion, Jürg had our Energy Flyer, which has been by his side, or better, on the baggage rack of his bike, up to this point, here in Avigliana, providing him with enough energy for his mobile phone and notebook.We were obviously very curious to know how our product had endured 10000 km among rough grounds, dust and bumps as well as being exposed to every kind of weather conditions.
The answer to our question came quickly, the Energy Flyer was back home, in front of us and still perfectly working. Thanks to Jürg we also discovered a new function for our product, one that we actually ignored: during his journey the back of our panel has become an emergency worktop - for what? you might be wondering -for cutting bread of course! a peculiar way to use an Energy Flyer for sure, but it passed this test as well, who would have guessed?
Jürg has jumped back on his bike heading towards Lucerne, his loyal companion not with him anymore, as it stayed with us here in Avigliana and is on display in our HQ. We haven't left him alone though, a new Energy Flyer is accompanying him to his destination.
The fundraising for Bayasgalaant Day Care Center is still ongoing, you can buy each km travelled by Jurg for 1 CHF that will be donated to the Bayasgalaant center.
