Sormec was awarded by Bladt Industries to supply three cranes on two different platforms in Nord Sea

The Danish company Bladt Industries has signed the contract to supply the German Company EEW SPC with 72 transition pieces for the upcoming Sandbank Offshore Wind Farm. The wind farm Sandbank is located in the German North Sea at 90 km of the isle of Sylt and is planned to deliver electricity for around 400.000 households annually as off 2017.

Sormec has been involved into the project by supplying a stiff boom crane M460/SA. We believe we can contribute with valuable experience to the project. The crane is designed according EN 13852-1 norms, certified by DNV and CE marked. With AOPS and MOPS functions the crane SWL is 5 tons at maximum 16 m.

Moreover, Sormec awarded two cranes contract for another Offshore Substation (OSS) for the upcoming Bligh Bank II Offshore Wind Farm. The substation is to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2016. Bladt Industries will construct the Substation in close cooperation with their l partners Semco Maritime.

In particular, Sormec will participate in the project supplying two cranes, a main M140/SA stiff boom crane and an auxiliary M40/FB/4S foldable telescopic one. The both are designed according EN 13852-1 norms, certified by DNV and CE marked. The first crane will have an SWL of 6.6 tons at 12 m and the second one has a winch of 2 tons and 12 meters of maximum outreach for the lifting of spare parts, tools, consumables and equipment from the lay down area of a vessel to their destination.
