STEYR MOTORS holds numerous certificates, which underlines the company’s long history and expertise in engineering. The range of certificates is continuously expanded and the latest addition in this extensive range is the Russian Maritime Register guaranteeing compliance of STEYR MOTORS’ marine diesel engines as well as of the electronic control and monitoring system with international standards.

The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) is a leading classification society that focuses on

- safety of life at sea,

- safe navigation of ships,

- safe carriage of goods by sea and in inland waters,

- environmental protection.

A globally spread network of offices enables the RS to provide numerous services to the world maritime community, such as issuing certifications according to the requirements of international conventions / agreements as well as to recommendations of the International Maritime Organization and maritime administrations.

STEYR MOTORS passed a strict and in-depth procedure in order to achieve this certification and thus looks forward to enhancing the relations with its Russian customers.
