SYM Naval receives the AINE 2020 Best Company Award

Recognition to SYM Naval for their initiative, tenacity and knowing how to find a niche in the market despite the current situation.

The 60th Congress of Naval Engineering and Maritime Industry was held in A Coruña (Galicia) between 20 and 22 October, in which a series of presentations were held to discuss certain issues of relevance in the industry, mainly about the digital and industrial revolution in the naval sector.

As part of the congress organised by the Association of Naval and Ocean Engineers of Spain (AINE) together with the Official College of Naval and Ocean Engineers (COIN), the AINE 2020 Awards were finally presented to highlight the most notable companies, projects and works of the last year.

In this sense, the members of the Jury decided to award SYM Naval the Prize for Best Company or Institution related to the profession. According to the organisation's own sources, the decision was motivated among other reasons by its commitment to shipbuilding, being the only shipyard in the area to build steel vessels in the accident-prone 2020. In addition, the award aims to publicly recognise SYM Naval for its initiative, tenacity and knowing how to find a niche in the market despite the difficulties of the current situation and giving prestige to the profession.

"It is exciting for the SYM Naval team and in particular for me to be distinguished as a company in the sector that promotes our profession, because this is, after the necessary business solvency, a fundamental objective of this project. We will continue to work so that Naval Engineering continues to be a basic pillar in the development of our country.
