TRELLEBORG announces new Integrated Ship Shore Link and Emergency Shutdown Systems at GASTECH

As the global market leader in Integrated Ship Shore Link Systems (SSL), Trelleborg’s marine systems operation will announce its new Integrated Ship Shore Link and Emergency Shutdown (SSL/ESDS) system at Gastech 2015 in Singapore, from the 27th to the 30th October.

This is designed to work in both the large- and small-scale LNG sectors, and is the operation’s latest LNG fuelling technology.

Richard Hepworth, President of Trelleborg’s marine systems operation, says: “Combining the SSL and ESDS into one system was a logical step to take. Although we have a long and well-established reputation as the leading supplier of SSL technology, we know we have to continually innovate to ensure our offer is always at the cutting edge.”

The new product development brings benefits for both ship yards and ship owners. For ship yards, a simplified single cabinet solution is included to reduce both space and installation requirements. For ship owners, the new system provides improved operator feedback and visual maintenance diagnostics.

As well as being on stand to discuss the details of the new integrated ESDS/SSL system, Trelleborg will be demonstrating its USL8810 Universal Safety Link, designed specifically for the small scale LNG transfer and LNG fuelling markets.

Hepworth continues, “Gastech is the obvious place to showcase our capabilities, and the product portfolio we have developed to support our LNG clients with the growth they have seen in terms of both capacity and variety of markets. The USL8810 has been designed in collaboration with the industry, and expertise gained in the large scale LNG market has been applied to meet the needs of the more cost sensitive LNG fuelling sector.”
