New Water Witch Works Wonders in Spain

The Mark 3 surface dredger took 30 weeks to build and is fitted with a high capacity mesh scoop attachment for recovering all types of floating debris, from small styrofoam cups, plastic bottles and general floatables. She was also supplied with a grapple attachment for handling logs and trees and a work platform for carrying out quay maintenance.

She works with a 16 tonne skipper barge built and designed by Water Witch to provide efficient storage and transport of all the marine debris and pollution recovered by the boat. The high capacity barge is designed to be pushed efficiently by the Water Witch, which she achieved at her top speed of 8.5 knots with ease during post-delivery trials.

The owners, Urgarbi Servicios Ambientales SL, provide specialist waterway cleanup service operations in both Spain and France.
