ZINETI supports INNOBOAT BIZKAIA in the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge,

Reaffirming its commitment to sustainable innovation.

As part of its commitment to young talent, technological innovation, and the development of more sustainable solutions for the maritime sector, ZINETI, S.A.U. has collaborated with the INNOBOAT BIZKAIA university team in its participation in the 12th edition of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, held from July 2nd to 6th at the prestigious Yacht Club of Monaco.

INNOBOAT, formed by students from the Bilbao School of Engineering (UPV/EHU), has designed and built a state-of-the-art electric catamaran powered by clean energy and with maximum energy efficiency criteria. This was their first time competing at an international level , and the result could not have been more promising: 6th place in the demanding endurance race (range and efficiency) and 9th place in the overall ranking, competing with universities from around the world.

But beyond the results, the experience represented a valuable opportunity for learning and growth for the team , both technically and personally. Cooperation, real-time problem-solving, exposure to other technological solutions, and team spirit have defined this adventure.

At ZINETI, we value this initiative as an excellent opportunity to promote the development of new generations of engineers committed to the environment. Supporting projects like INNOBOAT is a tangible way to contribute to the ecological transition of maritime transport and to showcase the Basque Country’s knowledge and talent internationally.
