OVNI 490 : Turning over the hull

Impressive maneuver

It was an impressive maneuver which took place at the Alubat shipyard in the town of Sables d'Olonne (departure of the Vendee Globe) for the reversal of the hull of this 100% aluminum sailboat dedicated to the blue water cruise.

Built upside down on its template, the hull was “demolded” then checked by penetrant testing to test the tightness of the welds.

Now that the hull of the OVNI 490 is right side up, she will be able to receive her deck with her cockpit and pilothouse!

Indeed, this new model which will be launched in May 2025 offers incomparable watches area.

Whether in the pilothouse where two people can sit comfortably, or in the raised saloon, the watch can be ensured well sheltered and in a friendly manner.

OVNI 490 will be exhibited at the Grand Pavois 2025
