Directeck introduces the WEST SYSTEM® Wood Rot Repair Kit for repairing moisture-damaged wood

An epoxy solution designed to strengthen wood weakened by moisture, both on board and on land.

Directeck is expanding its product range with the WEST SYSTEM® Wood Rot Repair Kit, designed to strengthen and repair wood damaged by moisture. It is suitable for both marine professionals and private users dealing with weakened wooden components.

Thanks to its low viscosity, the resin penetrates deep into the wood fibres and consolidates weakened areas. Its solvent-free, two-component epoxy formula does not shrink during curing. Its slight flexibility allows it to accommodate the natural movement of the wood while reducing the risk of cracking.

The kit can be used for applications such as boat seats, transoms and stringers, as well as window sills, door thresholds, frames and exterior woodwork. To rebuild missing sections, the resin can be combined with WEST SYSTEM® fillers to create a thickened mixture suitable for filling and rebuilding.

Once cured, the repair can be sanded, shaped and coated with a finish compatible with epoxy systems.
