John Deere launches its new marine engine with its distributors

On December 7th and 8th, John Deere Power Systems gathered its key marine engine distributors in Paris for a dedicated event to launch its new PowerTech 4045SFM85 engine.

They were excited to learn about this 4.5L engine and how it offers high power density for

repowering and new boat construction. The engine has two ratings for light-duty commercial

vessels, high-speed governmental applications and high-speed pleasure craft, which includes

an M4 rating with 205 kW (275 hp) at 2600 rpm and M5 rating with 235 kW (315 hp) at 2800

rpm.

“The timing was crucial for the network to be ready to explain the value of the engine as it

will be hitting the dealers’ warehouses in Spring 2018”, outlines Arnaud Blanchard, JDPS

The engine will be making its next appearance at London Boat Show (10-14 January 2018)

where E.P. Barrus (JDPS distributor in U.K. and Ireland) will exhibit (stand LD166). Then, it

will move to other key marine shows in the Netherlands, Sweden and Italy.
