Marinova floating systems taking on South Med largest of it's kind luxury yact Marina.
Alamein New Marina KM92 North Coast of Egypt is set to be delivered end of June 2026 by Marinova Floating systems.
Alamein New Marina
Floating Marina Construction by Marinova Floating Systems
Alamein New Marina is a large-scale floating marina development on Egypt’s Mediterranean North Coast, designed and constructed by Marinova Floating Systems. The project reflects Marinova’s core expertise in heavy-duty floating construction, combining advanced engineering, durable materials, and practical marine construction know-how tailored to regional conditions.
Heavy Concrete Floating Infrastructure (Marinova IS0412-65 heavy concrete pontoon)
At the heart of the marina is a system of heavy concrete pontoons, engineered and constructed to provide long-term stability, high load capacity, and minimal maintenance in a saline marine environment. Each pontoon unit is designed with:
Reinforced concrete walls for structural durability
Optimized dimensions to support utilities, pedestrian traffic, and service vehicles
The pontoons form the main access docks as well as the finger pontoons, creating a robust floating grid capable of accommodating vessels ranging from 10 to 36 meters in length.
Modular Dock Construction & Installation
The marina consists of six floating dock wings, assembled using a modular construction approach. This method allows for:
Efficient fabrication and quality control
Flexible installation sequencing on site
Future expansion or reconfiguration without major disruption
Marinova’s construction methodology focuses on precision alignment, secure mechanical connections, and controlled tolerances to ensure long-term performance under wave action, wind loads, and berthing forces.
Integrated Utilities & Marine Systems
All floating elements are constructed to support fully integrated marina services, including:
Electrical power distribution
Water supply and sanitation systems
Safety equipment and compliant access solutions
Utility routing is incorporated directly into the pontoon structure, protecting services from environmental exposure while maintaining clean deck layouts.
Built for Mediterranean Conditions
Alamein New Marina is engineered specifically for Mediterranean sea conditions, accounting for:
Local wave climate and prevailing winds
Water depth variations and seabed conditions
Corrosion resistance and material longevity
Construction details, material selections, and connection systems are chosen to deliver reliable performance with minimal operational maintenance over the marina’s lifecycle.
Cross-Border Construction Capability
The project demonstrates Marinova Floating Systems’ ability to deliver complex marine construction projects across borders, combining high-level engineering from its Dutch operations with hands-on construction execution through its regional network. This integrated approach allows Marinova to maintain control over design intent, construction quality, and on-site implementation.
