Marine steering control panel
Marine steering gear control panel is the core component of Marine navigation control system, and its design needs to adapt to the harsh Marine environment, taking into account reliability, safety and ease of operation
1. Hardware design elements
1) Environmental adaptability
① Protection level: IP56 waterproof and dust-proof design to resist waves, salt spray and humid environment.
② Temperature resistance and earthquake resistance: wide temperature working range (-20°C~+60°C), through the vibration test (such as ISO 6954 standard), to adapt to ship turbulence.
③ Material selection: The shell uses corrosion-resistant metal (such as aluminum alloy) or reinforced plastic, and the internal circuit is coated with three anti-paint.
2) Power supply and protection
① Redundant power supply: Supports two power inputs (such as the main power supply and backup battery) to ensure that the system can still operate when the power is off.
② Surge suppression: TVS diodes and fuses are configured to cope with voltage fluctuations in the ship's power grid (such as 12V/24V DC).
③EMI/EMC protection: shielding design to prevent electromagnetic interference, in line with Marine electrical standards (such as IEC 60945).
3) Interface and communication
① Standard protocol support: integration of NMEA 0183/NMEA 2000 protocol, and navigation equipment (such as GPS, compass) data interaction.
② Bus expansion: Connect the actuator drive module through the CAN bus or RS485, and support the cascade of multiple devices.
2. Functional design elements
1) Core control function
①Manual/automatic mode switch: Support emergency manual steering (such as handle control) and automatic driving system (such as AP connection).
② Safety limit: software limit and mechanical limit double protection to prevent rudder blade overreach (such as ±35° limit Angle).
③ Dynamic compensation: automatically adjust the rudder effect according to the ship's draft and wind waves (need to integrate the inclination sensor or wave compensation algorithm).
2) Alarm and fault handling
① Real-time monitoring: display rudder Angle deviation, motor temperature, hydraulic pressure and other parameters, over limit trigger sound and light alarm.
② Automatic switching: When the steering gear fails, it automatically switches to the standby steering gear and notifies the bridge.
③ Black box function: Stores steering engine operation logs (such as time, Angle, and fault code) and supports data export.
3. User interface design
1) Operation interaction
① Physical button: large size waterproof button (such as emergency stop, mode switching), suitable for wearing gloves.
② Graphical display: high brightness LCD/LED screen, showing the ship's course, rudder Angle curve and system status.
③ Voice prompt: in an emergency, broadcast fault information (such as "steering gear overload, please check").
2) Redundant operation
① Remote control: Support bridge, cabin dual position control, key operations need to be double confirmed (such as unlocking emergency stop).
② Handle/knob: Provide a mechanical handle for emergency steering, support proportional control (such as rudder Angle and handle displacement linear response).
4. Special scenario adaptation
1) Icebreakers/ocean-going vessels
① Low temperature start optimization: rapid wake up in -40°C environment, the hydraulic system needs to be designed to prevent freezing.
②High pressure protection: adapt to the high oil pressure requirements of deep-sea steering gear (such as 31.5MPa).
2) Inland vessels
① Simplified interface: remove complex functions, retain basic steering and alarm functions, reduce the difficulty of operation.
② Low-cost solution: the use of universal steering gear drive module, support Modbus protocol and Marine PLC integration.
5. Test and maintenance
1) Environmental testing
① Salt spray test (IEC 60068-2-52), wet heat cycle (IEC 60068-2-30) to verify corrosion resistance.
② Vibration test (sinusoidal vibration + random vibration) simulates ship operating conditions.
2) Maintenance
① Regular maintenance reminders.
