A unique landing stage for one of the largest yachts

Poralu Marine thinks big with an eye for the details

. The Dilbar, 157 m long, is one of the most imposing yachts in the world! To berth on the famous Quai des Milliardaires in Port Vauban, Antibes (French Riviera), this giant needed a made-to-measure setting. Poralu Marine, an Ain-based SME which builds marinas that are the world reference, has just produced this landing stage combining together its very best technical innovations.

The shock-absorbing fenders, which cover each of the eleven pontoons, have been designed and constructed with the purpose of ensuring the hull of the boat which is covered with special paint is never marked; and also with the idea of matching its specific beige colour.

To ensure the stability of the pontoons which protect this exceptionally large boat, Poralu Marine constructed them with concrete floats. This new range, launched in 2015 and named the Concrete Art Solution, completes the offer of floats manufactured in rotomoulded polyethylene. When necessary the concrete floats guarantee stability similar to that of concrete pontoons. The qualities of flexibility belonging to the Poralu Marine range are maintained.

The construction had to be as prestigious as it was aesthetic. Poralu Marine has therefore called on its range of Ecoteck® Premium decking, in addition to its aluminium frames which made its reputation worldwide. This decking has the appearance of exotic wood. However its composition, which combines sawdust with plastic, preserves it from the insidious action of UV rays whilst not being involved in deforestation. It should be remembered that Poralu Marine frames are manufactured in marine quality aluminium, which can be recycled ad infinitum, without a reduction in quality. This explains the nickname of “green metal” given to aluminium.

Finally, two platforms for receiving landing gangways and a guard rail complete this private landing stage, closely fitting the design of the boat and truly outstanding!
