What is Prolock?

Prolock is tailor-made

How does Prolock work?

Prolock is a hybrid system and combines a short recycled plastic screen with longer wooden piles. The screens retain the soil while the piles provide strength to the entire structure. The lightweight screens use a unique interlocking method, which means that they can be slid into each other from the top. Installing Prolock is therefore easy and quick.

The power of Prolock

The Prolock screens are below, on and on top of the waterline and are obviously not affected by rot or corrosion.

With regard to traditional bank systems, the waterline is a critical place because wood starts to rot and steel starts to corrode (rust). The structural strength of the Prolock system is calculated based on the part of the piles that are below the waterline and are inserted into the bed. This section will not be in contact with oxygen and can therefore not rot. The wood above the waterline can and may start to rot in due course. This is irrelevant with regard to the strength of the structure. The screen above the waterline is calculated based on this and provides sufficient strength. The system will therefore remain robust! The plastic screen will also ensure that Prolock continues to look good.

Prolock is tailor-made

The right type and length of the screen and the right type and dimensions of the piles depend on various factors. The soil type, the retaining height, the water level, the top load, etc. Prolock anticipates smartly on this because there is nearly always a suitable solution. We will gladly discuss issues with you and produce an indicative strength calculation free of obligation specifically for your project!
