Strategic Visit to Our Facilities in Vilanova i la Geltrú

Last week, we had the honor of welcoming a distinguished delegation from the Dominican Republic, led by Jean Luis Rodríguez, Executive Director of APORDOM; Joaquín Fernández, Deputy Director of Autoridad Portuaria Dominicana (APORDOM); Ney García, Deputy Minister of Housing of the Dominican Republic, and Felipe Scheker. The visit was joined by Anna Ribera , Councilor for City Projection, Capitality, and Business from the Vilanova i la Geltrú City Council, who highlighted the collaboration opportunities between both entities to promote economic and business development.

The attendees gained first-hand insight into various vessels under construction and those in the design phase, as well as explored advancements in digital construction technology shaping the future of the maritime industry.

We also presented our ambitious development project at the port of Boca Chica, a key milestone that will strengthen SYM Naval’s presence in the Dominican Republic, solidifying our position as leaders in maritime innovation and sustainable development.

We deeply appreciate this visit, which strengthens the joint efforts between regions.
