New order for one offshore M350/3S telescopic crane on Veja Mate Platform in North Sea
Sormec experienced and dedicated offshore team has been selected by Engie to supply a M350/3S telescopic boom crane for their offshore wind farm. The project is in line with our growing offshore technology. Together with our partner from the Netherlands, Promac BV, we were able to take this order. It was all possible thanks to this profitable cooperation and strong sense of participation. This project provides yet another opportunity to utilise unique know-how and expertise in offshore field and to assist a deserving company like Engie.
Precisely, Engie, CG and lemants have been awarded the contract for the supply and installation of HV offshore substation for the 402 MW Veja Mate Offshore Project GmbH. The equipment will be installed at the 402 MW offshore substation for the Veja Mate wind farm located over 100 kilometers off the German coast in the North Sea. The project will be brought online before the end of 2017. The 402 MW Veja Mate wind farm comprises of 67 wind turbines (6MW) and will be connected to the German high voltage grid via the BorWin2 converter platform. Veja Mate will produce enough electricity for over 280,000 households and reduce CO2 emissions by over 570,000 tons per year.
With an SWL of 3.000 Kg at a maximum outreach of 22.000 mm, the crane is equipped with constant tension on the winch and AOPS and MOPS systems. The crane is designed according EN 13852-1 and certified by DNV. Internal mechanical, electrical and hydraulic engineers are constantly pioneering new technologies, making Sormec Offshore cranes a good results in stability, reliability, performance, durability and safety.
