Testing second of ten telescopic boom crane M170/3S for De Hoop Shipyard

Test for second of ten M170/3S for De Hoop Loobith International BV with an SWL of 15 t and a maximum outreach of 25 m. The crane is certified by LRS and will work on board of a platform supply vessel for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. This is a long and strong cooperation the one between Sormec and De Hoop Shipyard.

The first vessel, named Esnaad 221, was delivered to Esnaad, the operating company of the ADNOC group, on the 15th of July 2015 by De Hoop Shipyard with Sormec crane M170/3S on board. In the meantime, the hull of the second vessel has been launched in Foxhol, our crane, after successful test of today, is ready to reach the Shipyard and be installed on board.

2016 starts around the world

2015 has no doubt been a challenging year for the business, our company and team. End of the year does not mean the end of these challenges. As matter of the fact 2016 starts with two contracts: with our partner Nufoss in Singapore has been awarded to build a elbow knuckle boom crane M1600/EL with a 30 tons winch and a maximum outreach of 22 meters. The crane will operate on board vessel designed by Muhibbah, project H20112 in offshore condition (Significant wave high 1 m).

Second order comes from Egypt with the cooperation of Ellabad, Sormec will deliver a stiff boom crane M08/SA in Alexandria for the project Tug Boat for Assuwit Governate at Canal for Nile Shipyard. The ambition is a successful 2016 with a increasing production all around the world.
